It’s time to gather together an interested group of readers to comb through my latest masterpiece (okay, maybe not a masterpiece, but a damned fine bit of writing) THE DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND.
What, you ask, does a Beta Reader do? In this case, you’ll receive a free copy of the book, NOT in the same condition it will be when published. This is a rough draft, and as a Beta Reader you’ll read The Devil’s Playground to find any plot weaknesses, grammar and/or spelling errors, discrepancies (you said she has green eyes, now they’re blue), or any other ideas that spring to mind as you’re reading it.
You’ll want to take notes as you read, so consider using Microsoft Word or Google Docs, or similar program, to streamline the process. Of course, you’re welcome to use the old-fashioned way of cribbing notes, assembling them in order, and sending them via a chatty email. Either way works.
WARNING: Even if you’ve read some of my spicier stuff, this book explores a magical world of BDSM with scenes that involve bondage/domination/sadism/masochism. And there is a trigger warning for a horrific set of memories that include the mention of torture and rape. If this will upset you, please keep yourself safe and by pass this project, or make a note to skip the section and let me know you have.
